Haan, Donald N., age 87 of Farmington, MN passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2019. Donald was born August 28, 1931 in Kranzburg, South Dakota; the son of William and Agnes (Bunker) Haan. He went to Holy Rosary Parochial School, graduated high school in 1949 from Goodwin High School, enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge in 1959. He was united in marriage to Mary Frances (Loke) on June 25, 1955 in Marshall, MN at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. He moved his family to Farmington, MN in 1961, where he farmed for the rest of his life. Donald also drove truck for the Castle Rock Elevator for 20 years.
Donald was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic church; the Catholic Order of Foresters and American Legion. He enjoyed time with his friends and family throwing horseshoes, bowling, putting puzzles together, and playing cards with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed dancing at area polka bands with his wife and friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary, 63 years of marriage; parents, William and Agnes Haan; siblings, Phillip Haan, Aloysius Haan, sons; Brian and Peter Haan; grandsons Travis Haan, and Justin Haan, son-in-law; Jack Larscheid.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 22120 Denmark Ave., Farmington, MN., with visitation from 4-7 PM on Wednesday (3/13) at the White Funeral Home Chapel, 901 3rd St. Farmington (651-463-7374) and 1 hr. prior to Mass at church. Burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Farmington immediately following Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
