The college football seasons for the Big 12 and SEC are in full swing, and in two weeks the Big Ten will open play of an abbreviated season that will kick off for the Gophers on national television against the Michigan Wolverines.

The Big Ten announced more scheduling details Monday, and the Minnesota-Michigan game Saturday, Oct. 24 at TCF Bank Stadium will kick off on ABC at 6:30 p.m. The Gophers are currently ranked 24th in the AP poll and Michigan is 19th.

Minnesota’s full schedule is available, but kickoff times have only been released for three games, and TV details are only currently available for two games.

Here’s how it shakes out:

  • Saturday, Oct. 24: vs. Michigan, 6:30 p.m. on ABC
  • Friday, Oct. 30: at Maryland, 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 7: at Illinois, TBD
  • Friday, Nov. 13: vs. Iowa, 6:30 p.m. on FS1
  • Friday, Nov. 20: vs. Purdue, TBD
  • Saturday, Nov. 28: at Wisconsin, TBD
  • Saturday, Dec. 5: vs. Northwestern, TBD

It’s expected that the Gophers, wherever they finish in the Big Ten West, will face the team from the Big Ten East division that finishes in the same place. The College Football Playoff and bowl games are scheduled to happen, and so long as COVID-19 doesn’t change plans, those matchups will be announced Dec. 20.
