(Bring Me The News) – The Minnesota Vikings placed starting cornerback Cameron Dantzler on the COVID-19/reserve list on Yesterday.

The COVID-19/reserve list is for players that either test positive for the virus or come in close contact with people who have.

According to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson, Dantzler was around family during the bye week and the placement is “contact tracing related.”

Dantzler’s placement on the list comes at a bad time for the Vikings. Heading into Wednesday’s practice, they were without fellow starting corners Mike Hughes (neck), Holton Hill (foot), and Chris Jones.

This does not bode well for a Vikings defense that allowed 364 passing yards to the Packers in Week 1 and 286 passing yards per game this season.
