Tom Goetzinger Morning Show

GM Tom Goetzinger hosts the morning show here on KCHK from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday – Friday. This very informative morning show is jam packed with music, local and weather, state and national news, Ag news and obituary announcements. Plus many chances to win prizes including the Morning Quiz and the Birthday Anniversary Club.

TRG Squared 

Thursdays on the Tom Goetzinger Morning Show feature local celebrity Tom Graham from Henderson. The two Tom’s spend the morning passing along all the local news and information that is covered daily on the morning show, plus Tom Graham shares his ever popular Tidbits at 5:35 a.m.

Live Musician Fridays

Every Friday morning during the Tom Goetzinger morning show since August of 2012, local musicians have come from near and far to perform live concerts for our listening audience. From nationally known polka bands to local family groups and even a few KCHK employees have performed on LMF. The musicians begin at about 6:50 a.m. and play into the 9 o’clock hour. The musicians are treated to breakfast from the Ettlin’s Cafe in New Prague.


KCHK’s Stroll Through the Vintage Country

Jimmy Dot hosts the mid-morning vintage country show on KCHK Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 11:25 a.m. The show features the vintage country classics you just don’t hear on the radio anymore. From the early days of Hank Williams through the 70’s country outlaws like Waylon and Willie and even into the 80’s and 90’s record breaking artists like Alabama, George Strait and Garth Brooks.

Tuesday Tour of the Ages

Tuesday mornings Jimmy Dot spotlights a specific year in country music and features the top charting songs from that year.

Waylon and Willie Wednesdays

Wednesday mornings Jimmy Dot features music from country outlaw legends Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson and all their outlaw friends.

Thirsty Thursdays

Thursday mornings Jimmy Dot features many of those classic drinkin’ songs that may have you reaching for the bottle a little early.

Friday Fact or Fishtale

Fridays feature a special giveaway sponsored by The Fishtale Grill in New Prague where Jimmy Dot makes a statement regarding a certain vintage country person or occurrence and asks to to call in and tell if it’s a Fact or a Fishtale. The correct number caller with the correct answer wins a gift certificate to the Fishtale Grill in New Prague.


Trading Post 

The Trading Post is a tradition on KCHK and some of our sister stations, though they may be known by another name such as Swap Shop or Tradio. Chris Adamson hosts this 25 minute program that provides the opportunity for our listeners to buy, sell or trade items with members of our community and surrounding area. Berger Interiors News @ Noon

Chris Adamson hosts this informative hour from noon to 1 p.m. that features national news from News, MN state level news from the Minnesota News Network and local news and weather. Plus local and MN state level sports, Ag news from Brownfield and informative interviews 5 days a week.


Afternoon Polka Break

Jimmy Dot jumps back in the studio from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday for the Afternoon Polka Break playing polkas old and new and even a waltz or two! Featuring music from local groups and musicians and LMF family members like The Charlie Sticha Band, Novotny Trio, Molly B and Ted Lang and Jerry Minar, to bands from outside of our local area like The Wendinger Band, Dyna Brass, Tuba Dan and nationally acclaimed polka musicians like Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr


Afternoon Dance Party

Chris Adamson comes back on air from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday for 3 hours filled with Good Time Oldies and 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s Rock ‘N’ Roll. Every day at 5 o’clock it becomes the 5 o’clock Happy Hour where Chris features 2 for 1’s on every artist he plays.

Beatle Mania Monday

Every Monday is a Beatle Mania Monday where Chris Adamson features a heavy dose of music from the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band of all time, The Beatles.

Nancy, Travel Leaders/Shakopee Travel

Every Wednesday at 3:35 p.m. Chris Adamson takes a short break from the music and is joined by Nancy from Travel Leaders/Shakopee Travel as she shares all the best deals on some of the best vacation destinations in the world that she and her colleagues can set you up with today.

Folk Fridays

Fridays Chris Adamson presents a solute to that great style of music, featuring music from great folk artists like Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, The Byrds, The Mamas and the Papas, The Kingston Trio, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and so many more.


Saturday Morning Music and Information Mix

Saturday mornings are hosted by Tom Goetzinger and start with the Minnesota Military Radio Hour from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. Then from 7 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Tom presents music and information, many times providing an “audio boost” to local bands or LMF family members that may be performing over the weekend.

Sports Show

Part of the Saturday Morning Music and Information mix is the Saturday Morning Sports Show broadcast live from Noble RV outside of Jordan. Chris Adamson hosts this informative show from 9:15 a.m. – 10 a.m. as he recaps all the sports action from the prior week and looks ahead to the coming week for all of our local teams. Plus informative interviews with players, coaches and Activity Directors from all of our local schools and teams.


Sunday Polka Shows

Polkas on Sunday is another long standing tradition here on KCHK. Starting at 6 a.m. and going all day until 9 p.m. we feature the best in polka music! We present multiple shows throughout the day hosted by multiple veteran polka DJs such as Tim Martin, Mick Degross and Larry Jindra – former member of the Ben Barta band and current member of the Nite Time Boogie Band. Other hosts include Justine Jacobson (JJ) and Marty Hanson.
