Orville Albert Renneke


Orville Albert Renneke, hard working farmer, father of of six daughters, husband of Millie for 71 years
passed away December 24, 2018 surrounded by family, His work here on earth was done and now he
could breathe again with ease in the arms of his Lord.
He was born July 21,1927 to Erthel and Esther Renneke in Arlington Minnesota. There he met the love of
his life, Mildred. After a 2 year stint in the Army stationed in Korea, he returned to Minnesota to start
farming in Lesueur. They moved to Belle Plaine after he bought his farm. At age 86 he had to give up his
loved profession due to health issues. He continued to live his life with dignity and grace.
He is survived by his wife Millie, 6 daughters, Renee Compo (Bruce), Connie Nolen, (Randy), Nancy
Myhr, Jill Leonard,(Lefty), Deb Traxler,(Dave),and Terry Carlson, (Randy); 17 grandchildren,29 great
grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Del (Mary Lou) and Dave (Donna).
He loved farming. A quote he often said was “how many people who have worked 66 plus years at the
same job can say they loved their job as much as I did. He was also a very active member of Zion United
Church of Christ. He loved to read, enjoyed sports and being his grandchildren greatest fan. He and Mom
also traveled to almost every state either byRV or plane.
He was respected and loved by many and will be deeply missed. His celebration of life and
accomplishments will be January 3rd at Zion United Church of  Christ, LeSueur at 11. Memorials
preferred to the Heart and Lung Association
Memorial services will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of
Christ in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church that morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00
a.m. Military honors will follow the service in church parking lot. Lunch in church social hall.
